Steven Kenah began his career at Loring more than 27 years ago. Today he is the President and Principal-in-Charge of HVAC Systems design, with special expertise in higher education, laboratory, and technology facilities. Taking a hands-on, collaborative approach to projects and client management, Steve has steered numerous technically challenging projects to successful and award-winning completion, including groundbreaking assignments for multiple universities such as The State University of New York at Stony Brook, Columbia University, and The City University of New York. His goal for Loring: to become the “go-to” firm for higher education technology projects. A self-proclaimed beneficiary of the firm’s “no barriers to growth” philosophy, Steve remains a champion of Loring’s flexibility and the opportunities granted to employees to work on projects that suit individual interests and talents.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree from Penn State University and an Executive Master’s degree in Technology Management from the University of Pennsylvania. A member of ASHRAE and ACEC New York’s Mechanical Code Committee, he has earned many awards from ASHRAE for his project work at Loring. He is licensed in over 15 states, including New York and New Jersey. Steve is a soccer coach and a devoted spectator of his children’s sporting events, which occupies his “spare” time.
