LORING provided engineering design and construction phase
services of complete HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection,
security systems, building automation and vertical transportation
systems for this 90,000 sf embassy.
Mechanical:
Two - 120 ton Air Cooled Package Chillers provide
chilled water to VAV type air handling units with variable speed drives.
Chillers are piped in series for better chilled water temperature
control and energy efficiency.
Electrical:
The
electrical distribution system included 100% generator back up of the
entire facility and additional diesel generators and UPS systems for
special classified systems. The
design included coordination of numerous low voltage communications
systems, both classified and non-classified, to support building
operations.
